OpenVibe.Tips

OpenVibe.Tips is the creator support product at openvibe.tips. A creator gets a tip page, goals and overlays for their stream; supporters tip, send paid messages and play paid sounds. Tips never moves money: OpenVibe.Billing settles every payment, and Tips keeps the interaction.

What it does

• Tips and paid messages, with optional text-to-speech and media requests, each with a minimum the creator sets.
• Paid sounds. A creator uploads up to 12 short sounds; a supporter pays to play one on the stream overlay, and chat names it.
• Goals count settled payments only.
• Overlays for streaming software use revocable, scoped links (never the creator's sign-in), and an alert can be replayed without charging again.
• Supporter privacy. A supporter can stay anonymous, hide the amount or send a private message, and that holds on every page, overlay and chat line. Supporters can export and erase their data.
• Other ways to support. The tip page can link to a creator's Ko-fi, PayPal.me, Patreon and other pages; those payments happen outside OpenVibe and do not count toward goals.
• Moderation. A word filter, hiding and showing interactions, and invited moderators.

How it fits the network

• OpenVibe.Billing settles payments, and tips made on a creator's own PowerChat page reach Tips from Billing.
• Chat lines and alerts are posted through OpenVibe.Chat.
• OpenVibe.Live moves the channel's donation goal and tip history when Tips announces a settled tip.

Status

STATUS.json's stage is "alpha". Tips launched at openvibe.tips on 2026-10-17, right after Billing became the money ledger, and paid sounds were added the same day.
