OpenVibe.Reviews

Imported, written with AI assistance. Imported from the OpenVibe repository README and STATUS files at the cited commits, summarised with AI assistance; originally by OpenVibers. Not yet reviewed by a person.

OpenVibe.Reviews gathers what is said about employers, landlords, restaurants, hosting providers, products, games and more at openvibe.reviews, and shows every number with where it came from and when it was read.

What it does

  • Members' reviews. Any signed-in OpenVibe member writes a review of 1 to 5 stars, with how they know the thing (a current or former employee or tenant, a customer…). Members' reviews are shown as theirs, never mixed into the sources' aggregate.
  • Every review site, one search. /everywhere opens Glassdoor, Yelp, the BBB, Trustpilot, Google Maps, Tripadvisor, Indeed, Reddit and others for one name, each in its own tab. Their terms forbid copying their reviews, and Reviews copies nothing from them.
  • What other sites show, brought by members. A member saves the rating Glassdoor, Indeed, Yelp, the BBB, Trustpilot, Google Maps or Tripadvisor shows for something, at /save or with the OpenVibe Companion browser extension (see OpenVibe.Coupons). The entity page shows it beside that site's link, with the date.
  • Official records, read through OpenVibe.Sources, each in its own section and never in the aggregate: the CFPB complaint count for a company, NYC Health's inspections for a restaurant, and NYC HPD's open housing-code violations for an apartment building (one landlord page per building).
  • Signals from sources: review signals with provenance and deterministic entity resolution. An aggregate is computed only from the signals that exist; with none, it is absent, not zero.

What it holds

On 2026-10-18, about 5,700 entities: 19 Steam games with review signals, 550 companies with CFPB complaint counts, 1,155 NYC restaurants with their inspections and 4,000 NYC apartment buildings with HPD's open violations.

What it does not do

Reviews never fabricates a rating and never presents AI output as members' reviews. Summaries written or approved by a person are still to come.

How it fits the network

Reviews depends on OpenVibe.Network for SSO and service principals, OpenVibe.Sources for review items and official records, OpenVibe.Events for events and OpenVibe.Community for discussion threads.

Status

The README states the status is alpha (roadmap Wave 17, Reviews half), public at openvibe.reviews since 2026-10-09. License: AGPL-3.0.
