It covers apartments, rooms, houses, furnished stays, commercial space, parking, storage and cars.\n\n## What it does\n\n- **Search everywhere** (`/everywhere`): one place and one set of filters open each site's own search there, with price and bedroom filters where the site takes them: Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Zillow, Apartments.com, Zumper, Rent.com, RentCafe, Apartment List, PadMapper, HotPads, Trulia and Realtor.com for homes; Roomies and Furnished Finder for rooms; LoopNet for commercial space; SpotHero for parking; SpareFoot for storage; Turo for cars. The listings, messages and payments stay on each site, in the person's own browser and account.\n- **The board** (`/board`): listings from any site in one OpenVibe list, with notes and how far the person got. The OpenVibe Companion browser extension keeps a listing on the board from the page the person is on.\n- **Rent by city** (`/in`): a page for 885 US cities with the typical rent by number of bedrooms from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, every rental site's search for that city, affordable housing and nearby cities; each is also an [[OpenVibe.Search]] document. **Is this rent fair?** (`/fair`) compares any quoted rent with the city's median; the Companion's \"Check the rent\" opens it from a listing on any site, and Rent says what it read from the listing.\n- **Listings posted here** by people, searchable, with reports, renewals and 30-day expiry; never a street address, and no payments, deposits or messaging.\n- **Affordable housing near you** (`/housing`): public housing, tax-credit and HUD-assisted properties, housing authorities and counselling agencies near a place, from HUD's public-domain data, with the FHFA home-price index beside them.\n- **OpenVibe.Homes** (`openvibe.homes`), the buying side served by the same process: for-sale sites, government and bank homes, land and commercial property, county records and a mortgage calculator.\n\n## How it aggregates\n\nSites whose terms forbid automated collection are combined the permitted way: deep links into each site's own search, the browser extension inside the person's own sessions, licensed feeds, and people posting. Licensed listing feeds through [[OpenVibe.Sources]] come next. The United States comes first; elsewhere a place gets the sites that work worldwide.\n\n## How it fits the network\n\nAccounts come from [[OpenVibe.Network]]; saved searches alert through [[OpenVibe.Watch]]; listings are screened for scam signs by [[OpenVibe.AI]] for staff, and its pages are in [[OpenVibe.Search]].\n\n## Status\n\nIt runs on Node 22 with PostgreSQL and Valkey, on port 5010, public since 2026-10-08.
